DC recently unveiled the first look of Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman outfit, from the upcoming “Wonder Woman 2”. As we all know, the plot of Wonder Woman 1984 will set in the year 1984. As per reports, the amazonian princess this time, will engage in a bloodshed fight, with the Cold War in backdrop. Rumors did confirm that, Cheetah, the legendary nemesis of Wonder Woman, will make her first big screen appearance with Wonder Woman 1984.
A few snaps earlier, did show us a glimpse of Steve Trevor(played by Chris Pine in Wonder Woman) in the sequel. Trevor’s appearance did raise a lot of questions from the populace, as the character died in the first movie. On another side, Pine’s stills did raise a lot of joy from the fans across.
Even though it’s quiet exciting to see Wonder Woman in the amidst of all-out nuclear war between the United States and the U.S.S.R., it also set the audience in a state of bewilderment. The previous films in DCEU did hint that the character almost went in a state of oblivion, after the events of the First World War(though she finally came back when Batman and Superman had to face a malign guy). Seems like DC must be cautious in preparing the script for the latest project, as one tiny jump might make some big continuity error in the whole DC Entertainment Universe.
Diana Prince’s astonishing intro from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice itself gained a huge fan base and the admiration generated towards the character was later cemented with Wonder Woman. She emerged out a winner, even in the heavily bashed 2017 movie Justice League. The fans across the globe are now waiting to see what else Gal can do with the latest venture.
Bridesmaids’ Kristen Wiig will appear as Wonder Woman’s archenemy Cheetah. Actor Pedro Pascal is also confirmed among the cast members, though the information regarding his character is yet to be revealed.
Wonder Woman 1984 will hit the theaters on November 1, 2019.
